“Let in, Let go” is an immersive video art experience that awakens the senses with a visual meditation. It invites the viewer to take a respite from the outside world, quiet the mind and go inward.

The piece explores the sensory and emotional connections we have when experiencing synchronicity through an atmosphere of visuals and sound.

“Let in, Let go” has been exhibited at the Satellite Art Show for Miami Art Week, at the Illuminus Festival in Boston, at the K Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, South Korea, and at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT.

BRUCE MUSEUM

SOLO ART EXHIBITION
GREENWICH CT, 2021

Let in, Let go, explores the synchronization of video, art, light, and sound, and how it relates to emotion, connection, and the present moment. This is Danger’s first-ever solo museum exhibition.

The imagery in Let in, Let Go was shot from Danger’s travels, some of which was captured directly from the Long Island Sound by her home in Stamford, CT. She digitally collages her footage and photography, and reinvents the work from its original form, color, scale, and symmetry. Natural and digital elements are mixed together, resulting in vibrant, colorful, abstract art that allows your mind to open and wander.

The piece was generously sponsored by Crossfire Sound providing equipment, set-up and projection mapping.

A SOLO EXHIBITION

This video shares a walk-through experience of Let in, Let go at the Bruce Museum. The exhibit was open for 6 weeks in the spring of 2021.

K MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART “SWEET POP”

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, 2020

In 2020, during quarantine, “Let in, Let go” traveled to the K Museum of Contemporary Art. They were curating an international art exhibit called, “Sweet Pop”, with bright, positive, colorful works, that would ease gallery goers during the pandemic.

We worked with the museum remotely to install the work in their space. Unfortunately we never got to see the work in person due to covid travel restrictions. However, we did have the delight of seeing people interact with the piece, and share it on instagram. The photos below are the images shared on social media from that exhibit.

SATELLITE ART SHOW MIAMI

MIAMI ART WEEK, 2019

The Satellite Art Show was the debut exhibition of Let in, Let go. They provided a 15”X15” defunct co-working space to transform during Miami Art Week and Art Basel. The goal was to create a mesmerizing, meditative, sanctuary space during the hustle and bustle of the event. The audience was full of attendees of all ages, from around the world, so the piece was created to be accessible and captivating in an intimate space that forges connection and shared experiences.

The surrounding decor in the room was set up with soft white round rugs and pillows on the floor for attendees to sit back and enjoy the art. Amber scented candles were burned in the room adding an additional sensory experience for relaxation.

The tempo of the work is designed to linger slightly longer than average attention spans, offering a brief moment of sanctuary from our fast-paced busy lives.

Binaural sounds by Cory Allen accompany the beginning of the piece with a slightly different frequency in the left and right speakers. By listening to these different tones your brainwaves can induce altered states of relaxation, meditation and creativity. The soundscape progresses to music by UK electronic producer Kloyd, and Tomas Novoa, which raises the energetic temperature of the piece and takes you on a mesmerizing journey.
